Aberdare Park Road Races are once again handing the decision over to the fans as voting opens to determine the next rider to be inducted into the prestigious Wall of Legends.
Created to celebrate the riders, personalities and pioneers who have helped shape the rich history of the event, the Wall of Legends is our way to respect those who are associated with the famous South Wales road races.
Last year, fans selected two-time Welsh Open winner Derek Welch as the latest addition to the Wall of Legends, recognising his outstanding achievements during one of the most competitive eras during the history of the event. His induction proved hugely popular, with supporters from across the road racing community casting their votes and sharing memories of one of Aberdare Park's most successful competitors.
Now, attention turns to 2026. Over the coming weeks, fans will once again have the opportunity to nominate and vote for the rider they believe deserves a place among the legends of Aberdare Park. The shortlist will feature some of the most accomplished and influential names ever to have competed around the iconic Victorian parkland circuit.
Since its introduction, the Wall of Legends has celebrated riders whose achievements extend far beyond race wins alone. The honour recognises those who have left a lasting legacy on the event, inspired generations of competitors, and helped build Aberdare Park Road Races into one of the most unique and cherished meetings in the road racing calendar.
Who would you like to join the Wall Of Legends alongside Mike Hailwood, John Surtees, Carl Fogarty, Robert Dunlop, Ian Lougher, Davey Todd and Derek Welch?
The decision is yours!
